Items created using duct tape are quite popular with kids these days. I’ve seen everything from pencil pouches to headbands and one of my daughter’s friends even started selling her DIY duct tape creations. Based on a tip we received this weekend, it looks as if duct tape has now crossed over into the realm of the iPad 2.
Coregeek has created a DIY iPad 2 Duct Tape Folio Smart Case that doesn’t look half bad. When he learned the iPad 2 utilized magnets for the Smart Cover, he decided to redesign and refine his original Duct Tape Folio.
With a new design goal and a little work, Coregeek revised his original design and incorporated several new features. The new iPad 2 Duct Tape Folio Smart Case offers an integrated sleep/wake function, an easy magnetic insert and removal, a built in prop/stand, a durable plywood core, a stylish magnetic clasp and a full front and back case.
Check out the video below to see Coregeek’s iPad 2 Duct Tape Folio Smart Case in action. Maybe it will spark an idea for your own duct tape creation!
